For the Dog: On E-readers

I don't have one. I say so. Go take a look on the Dog and I hope you enjoy. Me, I'm going to bed - I have a long trip to Bendigo to do my first writer visit and I really, really hope it works out. I'll be one of about sixteen guests and we all have to do workshops with students who have paid to be there.

Fingers crossed for me!

Alas, when I went to the link I got the frame and a "not found" message. FWIW the cat appears to be the Only One on the Internet who finds an iTouch to be very useful for reading ebooks, especially since it fits in my pocket unlike those larger things. Searching on ebooks I find the question "Would you rather read a novel on a e-reader or as a book in your hands?" The answer, of course is "Yes." :)

Search on "On E-reaaders", get no response. Oh well...

Anyway, hope you have a good time at the workshops!

Aha, the secret is revealed - I just took out an account and now it is displayed.

Ah. Very strange. I find that the link is the problem. Not sure why. You don't have to be a member to view the blog, only to comment, but for some reason adding the word "residence" to the link, which I did for readers' convenience, came up with that message. Yet you can just got to the homepage and click on Residence" and be admitted, logged in or not.

Welcome back to Great Raven, Kay! We were discussing filking last time you were here. :-) Hope you enjoy your visit.

I'll add the post from The Dog here tonight, since it seems to be fiddly to read.

My nepehw has an iPod Touch, which he bought with some gift voucers he got for his bar mitzvah. He's happy with it.

My students were discussing the Net vs Books and I had to point out that an e-book was still a book! ;-)

Whoops, that was "nephew" and "go" not "got". Gotta go, I'm having breakfast with my mother.

I went to that workshop, saw you, were inspired by you... and now I thank you. So much.
While we, the next generation, may never be as good as you, you have inspired us to try.
Cheers,
Emma McGregor
